Our Story

Guardian Service was born out of frustration—and a belief that there had to be a better way.

In 2017, our co-founder Zach Clayton and his wife paid $3,393 for their home and auto insurance. Just a few years later, that number had ballooned to $8,665. The explanation? Rising inflation and extreme weather events. But when Zach looked to his insurance agent for help, he found silence—no advocacy, no transparency, and no clarity on what he was actually paying for.

As a busy father of four, Zach didn’t have hours to waste. But he spent five of them shopping every major carrier himself, ultimately lowering his premium. The process was painful, confusing, and entirely too slow. So he asked the obvious question: Why isn’t there a better way?

Guardian Service is the answer. We’re a new type of insurance agency—one built for the modern homeowner. We combine the trust of independent agents with the power of data and digital tools to make insurance easy, fair, and fast.
